County Durham and Darlington Carers Support

Many carers are under increasing financial pressure, and we are providing tailored one-to-one support to help ease the burden. This includes:

  • Welfare benefit checks
  • Income maximisation advice
  • Debt support and signposting
  • Energy efficiency guidance, including:
    • Help accessing better utility tariffs (energy, broadband, mobile)
    • Practical tools and resources such as energy efficiency packs
    • Advice on safe, low-cost heating and cooking options
    • Awareness around carbon monoxide risks and access to free CO monitors (where eligible)
